Position Title – Business Development Director, Middle East

 

Purpose of the Role

To generate opportunities (‘leads’) for the sales team by informing partners, consultants and end users about the value of working with our client – with particular focus on the Oil and Gas sector.

 

To generate high sales growth by building, maintaining and managing a number of effective channels to market.  With an emphasis on strategic selling, the role also requires a strong tendency towards new business development in managing the relationships between end users, channel partners and consultants.

 

 

Role and Responsibilities 

 

  • To identify new channels to market
  • To support existing channel partners and drive new sales through proactive account management
  • Achieving/exceeding annual sales target
  • Respond to tenders in conjunction with channel partners and the sales support  team
  • Execute customer presentations and demonstrations
  • Manage proof of concept system trials
  • Acquire, maintain and report adequate knowledge of product, market and competition
  • Prepare weekly sales reports and periodic sales forecasts (CRM system provided)
  • Be responsible for lead management (from e.g. trade shows) & report on follow up
  • Attend sales team meetings

 

 

Skills and Experience

  • In depth experience of working in Oil and Gas sector
  • Strong awareness of key players and products in the IP and Digital CCTV market
  • Good knowledge of the region and ability to build strong networks
  • Proven ability to exceed targets through effective business development
  • Good understanding of the key principles of IP networking
  • Existing network of installers, integrators, end users and consultants
  • Excellent marketing, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Energetic and enthusiastic, Organised and reliable
  • Confident and capable of communicating with people at all levels
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Microsoft experience including, Excel, Word Outlook & PowerPoint
  • Presentation and communication skills
  • Experience in budget and project management
  • Good attention to detail
  • Competitive, tenacious, driven, conscientious
