We are looking for an experienced IP Surveillance Business Development Manager to ensure our client’s continued success within the emerging markets it has targeted, namely IP Surveillance and Storage. This role reports to the European Business Development Manager, based in London.

Our client’s goal is to support, enable and deliver best-in-class business strategy & governance, multi-channel marketing & digital solutions, capabilities, and services that drive results against our regional marketing objectives. The IP Surveillance Business Development Manager will develop and execute strategic business management, planning, and communications processes (external and internal) for the European Business Units, provide leadership on strategic cross-product initiatives, and own the team metrics, reporting and business rhythm.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate has a proven track record, in either sales or Business Development. The role has the following requirements:

Business Development: The Business Development Manager should be able to identify potential deals and develop the tactics and internal teams needed to bring them to fruition. This executive will need to actively lead the business development function in an effective, aggressive manner. At the same time, this executive is also expected to be a contributor. These needs are essential to the company’s development.

Business Coordination: Weekly meetings and broad team meetings, quarterly team meetings and/or off sites and leadership meetings. This includes driving processes that increase internal awareness and connection within the European Business Unit teams and across the Business Solutions Group, such as best practices sharing, business reviews, group communications & infrastructure, and rewards & recognition

Rhythm of the Business: You will drive the development and implementation of strategic business plan and managing the processes for and with the management team to include monthly reporting, Quarterly Business Reviews, and Mid-Year Review preparation. You will provide input on the fiscal year budgeting and planning requirements as well as pricing and product development strategy.

Communications: Ensuring customer, partner, and field visits, presentations, internal meetings, cross group communications and alignments are managed and executed flawlessly. You will ensure that the content, deliverables and supporting materials are appropriate and that the theme and messages communicate the appropriate messages for successful account execution in concert with the mission and goals of the team.

The Candidate

The candidate for the role should possess the following attributes:

  • Must have a background in IP Surveillance. A knowledge of Storage Area Networking technologies is preferred. Should also possess overview knowledge of Data Networking technologies including, Wireless Networking, and Ethernet Switching.
  • Be able to demonstrate strong presentation skills, and be comfortable presenting to C-Level Management
  • Have a proven track record of achievement against sales targets
  • Show an ability to work in both team and virtual team environments
  • Routinely exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives.
  • Demonstrate a positive and Can-do attitude
  • Ensure that our client is always represented in a professional manner in keeping with the scope of the role.

  • A strong technical background with sales acumen is required.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills are mandatory.
  • Outstanding written and verbal skills.
  • Strong leadership presence;
  • Individual who understands how to get things done as well as the ability to understand how to improve the way things are done through effective planning and process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and problem resolution skills are required.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science preferred.
  • 7 years of industry experience preferred.
