Purpose of the Role

  • To generate opportunities (‘leads’) for the sales team by informing partners, consultants and end users about the value of working with our client.
  • To generate high sales growth by building, maintaining and managing a number of effective channels to market. With an emphasis on strategic selling, the role also requires a strong tendency towards new business development in managing the relationships between end users, channel partners and consultants.
  • To manage road shows, campaigns, external suppliers, budget, as well as other admin tasks for Australia.

Role and Responsibilities

Sales team liaison

  • To identify new channels to market
  • To support existing channel partners and drive new sales through proactive account management
  • Assist in achieving Australia annual sales target
  • Respond to tenders in conjunction with channel partners and the APAC sales support team
  • Execute customer presentations and demonstrations
  • Manage proof of concept system trials
  • Acquire, maintain and report adequate knowledge of product, market and competition
  • Prepare weekly sales reports and periodic sales forecasts (CRM system provided)
  • Be responsible for lead management (from e.g. trade shows) & report on follow up
  • Take feedback from sales team on which verticals and regions to focus on
  • Attend sales team meetings

Road shows & Marketing

  • Manage regional program of road shows to educate consultants and partners
  • Overall responsibility for our attendance at road shows(s) –logistics, sales team coordination, etc – with support from Regional Support team
  • The content of PR is controlled through the marketing department based in the UK. However, there will be the day to day local management of PR.
  • Manage generation of more in-depth Case Studies on interesting projects within Australia
  • Regular email communication with partners, consultants & users on products/projects
  • Printing & distribution of product literature within Australia, based on content from Product Management
  • Produce posters publicizing project wins, for internal & partner use
  • Build/source SF database of key users within specific verticals
  • Manage campaigns for specific verticals – generate leads through email and phone, then qualify leads

Skills and Experience

  • Strong awareness of key players and products in the IP and Digital CCTV market
  • Proven ability to exceed targets through effective business development
  • Good understanding of the key principles of IP networking
  • Existing network of installers, integrators, end users and consultants
  • Excellent marketing, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Energetic and enthusiastic, Organised and reliable
  • Confident and capable of communicating with people at all levels
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Microsoft experience including, Excel, Word Outlook & PowerPoint
  • Presentation and communication skills
  • Experience in budget and project management
  • Good attention to detail
  • Competitive, tenacious, driven, conscientious
